My First Step In Faith
Welcome to my first blog post! If I sound nervous, it's because I am. But I am also very excited that you are here. This has been a long time coming, you have no idea. Starting a blog has been a dream of mine for over four years now. I’ve contemplated the thought of one day having a place where I could write, create, but also connect with beautiful people like you. Something always held me back though, but I promise we’ll talk about that part of my life soon. I recognize that the time is now, and I am choosing to act in faith. I firmly believe God has called me to live a life of complete vulnerability with Him while doing life in community with others. Having this space is just one of the ways I plan on doing so.
For my first blog post, I wanted to let you know more about me and what you can expect here.
Let me introduce myself…
My name is Eliset Villanueva. I was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, California. After high school, I attended California State University, Northridge, where I received my bachelor’s degree in Journalism. More recently, I received my master’s in Public Relations and Reputation Management with a concentration in Strategic Communication from Biola University. I’ve used my talent in several PR firms throughout my early career. But now, I hope to share my passions in this new space and season through this blog.
In April 2022, I married my best friend, Jose. Oh, how I love this man! So much so that I moved to the Bay Area (but secretly, I’ll always be a SoCal girl). We quickly became a family of three. Two months ago, we became dog parents to our adorable bernedoodle named Arlo. My family is everything to me.
When I’m not writing, you can find me trying out a new recipe, spending time with family, listening to podcasts, reading, and exploring the Bay Area.
What you can expect here.
This space will have a little bit of everything – topics about Jesus, my faith, family, marriage, beauty, lifestyle, and more. I want you to find daily inspiration, helpful advice, and relatable content to help you live your life wholeheartedly. If this blog can help just one person face the harsh things of life and find strength in God, it will have been worth it.
Lastly, I just wanted to thank you SO much for being here and reading my first blog post. I am so grateful for you already and hope you will continue to follow along. My hope is to inspire you because truthfully, you all inspire me and I am SO looking forward to bringing you along on this journey.
